Alway on my mind

Hi there, hope you've all had a great week, we're almost at the weekend! Looks like it going to be a busy one too. On sat we have our team meeting with my gorgeous upline Ange & that's always a fun get together, i'm looking forward to meeting our newest team mate Johanna too! Then we're out to dinner with some friends of ours Sat night & Sunday we're gong over to Eltham to meet up with some other friends at a miniture train ride. We've been trying to organise it for ages & finally we've found a weekend we can all make it. Our boys are going to love it, just pray it doesn't rain..

So here is the fruits of my labor from yesterdays creative session with Anthea. It was an excellent day, as predicted we laughed & gabbed all day & I must say I was surprised we got anything done, especially as nice as this one turned out!

My fave card so far I think! I've been sponging the edges of the DS Paper with the matching ink colour & I really like how it softens the edges of the card, I think it gives it a vintage look. How lovely does the pink damask look? I've been using that stamp heaps lately because it is just SO versatile...& did you notice i've managed to sneak in another rose from my favourite set? lol, I know I promised you a break from that set, but how???
The layout idea is not mine I must confess but came from an old Mojo Monday week#72, I've downloaded the past layouts & I plan to give them all a go since they are all so good! If you've not heard of Mojo Monday check it out.
Here's how the card came together:
Stamps: Friends 24-7, Always & A Rose is a Rose
Paper:Ridinghood Red, Choc Chip & Old Olive C/S & Bella Rose DSP (my fave!)
Ink: Ridinghood Red, Choc Chip & Pink Pirouette
Acc:Old Olive Ribbon, Scallop Edge & Scallop Circle Punch, Stampamajig & Dimentionals

Im off to Jack's school for their final assembly this afternoon because Jack got awarded PUPIL OF THE WEEK! yay, high fives all round! It's announced in their school newsletter on thursdays so he found out last night & you should have seen the proud look on his face, so cute!
Actually speaking of Jack reminds me I promised to show off his holiday book, I'll upload them now...

how fast was that!!

We saw the penguins on the beach

This is me and my friend Kyan in the pool

I made a shape out of chocolate.

I love seeing his handwriting...even though i'm the only one who can read it. He's trying to sound each word out & hear the letters, I love how he heard the word 'out' - aot, it's funny cause if you say it slowly it really does sound like that. There were more pages but I chose the best ones.
Hope you liked it!

Will talk soon, I have 2 more cards to show you!! X

That is just so cute bec!! He is doing really well with his handwriting. Its such a big deal. I think when a parent is watching their child write to understand how they feel they should join in by writing with the hand they don't usually use. ie: if you are right handed use the left!! Its very funny. Its called learn to write with your child and become Ambidextrous at the same time. lol.
I really like the card that you have made I can't believe you have the friends 24-7 set!! I really like the one that you used on the card.
Love ya!
